Saboo Sodium Chloro fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

Saboo Sodium Chloro Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, amounted to 4 Indian paise per share, a gain from 1 paise per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 729,380 rupees, a gain from 296,880 rupees in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 1.3% from 0.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 37.3% on an annual basis to 56.8 million rupees from 41.4 million rupees, and total operating expenses grew 32.3% from the prior-year period to 50.1 million rupees from 37.9 million rupees.

Reported net income increased on an annual basis to 1.2 million rupees, or 6 paise per share, from 475,000 rupees, or 2 paise per share.

As of Feb. 11, US$1 was equivalent to 68.37 Indian rupees.
