Marsh & McLennan prices $250M note offering

Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. priced an offering of $250 million of its 4.375% senior notes due 2029.

The 4.375% senior notes due 2029 constitute a further issuance of the senior notes, $1.25 billion of which was issued Jan. 15. After giving effect to the issuance of the notes, the company will have $1.5 billion of 4.375% senior notes due 2029 outstanding.

The net proceeds of the offering, along with the net proceeds from Marsh & McLennan's recent $5.0 billion senior notes offering and recently priced €1.1 billion senior notes offering, will be used to partly fund the acquisition of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group PLC, repay Jardine Lloyd Thompson's debt and for general corporate purposes.

The offering is expected to close March 27.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, Citigroup Global Markets Ltd., Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith Inc., MUFG Securities Americas Inc. and Wells Fargo Securities LLC are joint book-running managers for the offering. ANZ Securities Inc., Barclays Capital Inc., BNP Paribas Securities Corp., Drexel Hamilton LLC, GC Securities, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, PNC Capital Markets LLC, RBC Capital Markets LLC, Scotia Capital (USA) Inc., TD Securities (USA) LLC, The Williams Capital Group LP and U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. are co-managers for the offering.
