EXFO Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Feb. 29 was 6 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 4 cents per share.
EPS climbed year over year from 2 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $3.3 million, an increase from $948,130 in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 6.2% from 1.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 5.1% on an annual basis to $53.6 million from $51.0 million, and total operating expenses declined 5.1% on an annual basis to $49.8 million from $52.5 million.
Reported net income grew year over year to $3.8 million, or 7 cents per share, from $1.2 million, or 2 cents per share.
