Rhino GP director resigns; other officers take on roles at Royal Energy

Ronald Phillips, director of Rhino GP LLC, the general partner of coal producer Rhino Resource Partners LP, resigned from the board of directors of Rhino GP as of Jan. 30, the company announced in a Feb. 5 securities filing, saying his departure was not the result of any disagreement with the partnership.

On Jan. 31, Royal Energy Resources Inc., the whole owner of Rhino GP and owner of the majority of the partnership's common and subordinated units, announced several appointments effective that day.

Richard Boone, CEO of Rhino GP, was named CEO and principal executive officer of Royal, while Wendell Morris, Rhino GP's CFO, was named CFO of Royal. Whitney Kegley, general counsel and secretary of Rhino GP, was appointed to the same position at Royal.

All three will continue in their current positions at Rhino GP, and their employment agreements were amended to allow them to work for Royal.
