Cubico Sustainable Investments to acquire 21-MW wind farm in Greece

Cubico Sustainable Investments is entering the Greek renewables market with the acquisition of the 21-MW K-Wind Kitheronas onshore wind farm from Greece-based Intracom Holdings SA.

The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2020. There is a 12-MW extension project in process that is also expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2020, according to a Jan. 9 press release. The project is located in Viotia region of Sterea Ellada, Greece.

London-headquartered Cubico Sustainable Investments is indirectly owned by the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board and Canada's Public Sector Pension Investment Board.

Also in Greece, France-headquartered VALOREM SAS entered a deal to acquire a portfolio of wind projects with a combined capacity of 82 MW in various stages of development. The company is also showing interest in developing solar projects in the country, according to a separate press release.
