Empire shareholders request general meeting to discuss board overhaul

Empire Resources Ltd. shareholders Tyson Resources Pty Ltd. and Kesli Chemicals Pty Ltd. have requested a general meeting to discuss changes to the company's board, according to a Sept. 5 release.

Tyson and Kesli asked Empire to consider the appointments of Michael Ruane, Jeremy Atkinson and Peter Hayden Hunt and the removal of Lee Christensen, David Sargeant, Christopher Banasik and Brett Fraser.

Empire said it will obtain appropriate advice if a general meeting is required in compliance with Section 249D of the Corporations Act 2001.

Tyson and Kesli collectively own 5% of Empire.

In May, dissident shareholders of Empire requested a general meeting to overhaul the company's board.
