* MPM Capital led a $30 million series A round for BioIntervene Inc., a preclinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing medicines for chronic pain and other chronic inflammatory and neurodegenerative disorders. BioIntervene obtained about $3.1 million in venture capital in March 2019.

* Healthcare artificial intelligence and technology company Pieces Technologies Inc. secured $25.7 million in a series B financing round led by Concord Health Partners LLC, with current investors Children's Health of Dallas and OSF Healthcare System also joining the round.

* Activate Venture Partners led a $6.2 million seed funding round for Ride Health LLC, which offers a real-time patient ride coordination platform. Newark Venture Partners, Anthro Ventures, BioAdvance, Leading Edge Ventures and StartUp Health LLC also participated in the round.
