Mizuho Bank, Export-Import Bank of China partner on commercial banking

Japan's Mizuho Bank Ltd. and Export-Import Bank of China signed an agreement to cooperate in the area of commercial banking.

The comprehensive cooperation agreement aims to provide enhanced services for companies seeking to enter or expand business in China or in countries involved in China's Belt and Road Initiative.

Under the agreement, the two lenders will provide clients with economic and business insight on China and the Belt and Road economic corridors, as well as offer a broad range of financial services, including trade finance and project finance, with the ability to handle yuan-denominated transactions.

Mizuho Bank is a unit of Mizuho Financial Group Inc.
