Himaraya Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Feb. 28 came to ¥37.24 per share, a decrease of 20.4% from ¥46.77 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥458.8 million, a decrease of 20.4% from ¥576.3 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 2.4% from 3.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 5.1% year over year to ¥19.39 billion from ¥18.45 billion, and total operating expenses increased 6.4% on an annual basis to ¥18.68 billion from ¥17.56 billion.
Reported net income fell 21.9% on an annual basis to ¥396.0 million, or ¥32.14 per share, from ¥507.0 million, or ¥41.15 per share.
