AmazonFresh expands to 3 US cities

Amazon.com Inc. on Aug. 22 said it has expanded its AmazonFresh grocery delivery service to Houston, Minneapolis and Phoenix.

Amazon Prime members in these cities can now avail of free one- to two-hour delivery for produce, electronics, toys and everyday essentials for a monthly fee of $14.99 on top of their Prime membership fee.

Users can order from AmazonFresh through the company's Alexa smart speaker, which will remember customer orders. The service will also offer beer and wine to Houston customers.

Germany's Deutsche Post AG recently ended its AmazonFresh delivery partnership over weaker-than-expected demand, Reuters reported.
