Palladium Equity Partners buys specialty materials maker Kymera

A fund affiliate of middle-market private equity firm Palladium Equity Partners LLC purchased Kymera International from private investment firm Platinum Equity LLC for an undisclosed amount.

Kymera is a specialty materials group that includes ACuPowder International, ECKA Granules and SCM Metal Products. The group provides specialty materials, powders, pastes and granules for the chemical, specialty auto, additive manufacturing, general industrial, mining and aerospace industries.

The deal is expected to support the expansion of Kymera's value-added product offerings and complementary acquisitions in the specialty materials industry.

Lazard Middle Market was the financial adviser of Kymera, while Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP, Baker & McKenzie LLP and Alston & Bird LLP were its legal advisers.

KeyBanc Capital Markets was the financial adviser of Palladium, while Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett were its legal advisers.
