French luxury-goods maker LVMH Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton Société Européenne on Oct. 9 posted 17% year-over-year growth in revenue for the third quarter of 2019.
Revenue increased to €13.32 billion from €11.38 billion reported in the third quarter of 2018
On an organic basis, the Paris-based company's revenue rose 11% year over year during the quarter. The fashion and leather goods segment performed the best, with a 19% jump.
The wine and spirits business reported 8% organic revenue growth in the quarter, while perfumes and cosmetics business revenue increased by 7% in the period.
For the first nine months of 2019, LVMH's revenue grew 16% to €38.40 billion from €33.13 billion reported in the same period last year.
LVMH said it continues to be "vigilant" because of the uncertain geopolitical environment.
