Report: WeWork scraps plans to lease Hibernia office in Dublin

WeWork Cos. Inc. scrapped a deal to lease space in the Central Quay office block in Dublin, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified because the matter is private.

The coworking giant had been in talks with Hibernia REIT PLC regarding the lease, but the deal is being called off due to specific factors related to the building and other WeWork deals in Dublin are still on track, one of the people said.

A WeWork spokeswoman told the news outlet in an emailed statement that the company is committed to Dublin.

A Hibernia representative declined to comment, according to the Oct. 1 report.

WeWork parent The We Co. recently postponed a planned IPO for the coworking giant.
