Ya-Man Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended July 31 amounted to 1 Japanese sen per share, compared with a loss of ¥5.77 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥625,000, compared with a loss of ¥336.9 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 0.0% from negative 8.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased 18.1% on an annual basis to ¥3.29 billion from ¥4.01 billion, and total operating expenses fell 28.4% from the prior-year period to ¥3.28 billion from ¥4.58 billion.
As of Sept. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥107.36.
