Apollo Commercial Real Estate Finance Inc. has priced an underwritten public offering of 12 million common shares for estimated gross proceeds of about $219 million.
The underwriters were granted a 30-day option to buy up to 1,800,000 additional common shares.
The offering's net proceeds will be used to acquire or originate target assets, including commercial first mortgage loans, subordinate financing, commercial mortgage-backed securities and other commercial real estate-related debt investments, and for working capital and other general corporate purposes, which include repayment of borrowings outstanding under the company's repurchase agreements.
The offering is expected to close June 5, subject to customary closing conditions.
Citigroup, J.P. Morgan, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley are the offering's joint book-running managers.
