Nissin Foods Holdings fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Nissin Foods Holdings Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥79.70 per share, a decrease from ¥81.07 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥8.83 billion, a decrease from ¥8.97 billion in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 7.2% from 7.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose on an annual basis to ¥121.97 billion from ¥118.47 billion, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to ¥111.21 billion from ¥106.69 billion.

Reported net income grew 8.2% from the prior-year period to ¥10.91 billion, or ¥98.47 per share, from ¥10.08 billion, or ¥91.06 per share.

As of Feb. 9, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.60.
