UBS names managing director for US consumer, retail M&A

Switzerland-based UBS Group AG named Solon Kentas managing director within the company's U.S. M&A team covering the consumer products and retail sectors, Reuters reported June 5, citing an internal memo.

Kentas will be based in New York. He previously worked at German bank Deutsche Bank AG where he was a managing director.

Kentas' new role was previously held by Lowell Strug, who left UBS to join U.K.-based Barclays PLC in April. At the same time, partners Brett Pickett and Peter Kuhn also left UBS for Barclays. Strug, Pickett and Kuhn had joined UBS' U.S. consumer products and retail investment banking group in 2015.
