Paiho Shih Holdings Q1 profit climbs 14.3% YOY

4916892 said its first-quarter normalized net income was 33 Taiwan cents per share, a gain of 14.3% from 29 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$88.4 million, an increase of 14.3% from NT$77.4 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 11.0% from 8.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 11.3% on an annual basis to NT$803.7 million from NT$906.5 million, and total operating expenses decreased 15.0% year over year to NT$663.2 million from NT$780.6 million.

Reported net income rose 44.2% year over year to NT$125.7 million, or 47 cents per share, from NT$87.1 million, or 33 cents per share.
