India central bank initiates corrective action on UCO Bank

The Reserve Bank of India has initiated a prompt correction action on UCO Bank due to its high net nonperforming asset level and negative return on assets.

The corrective action aims to improve the Indian bank's performance and strengthen its internal controls.

UCO Bank said May 12 that the central bank's action will not adversely impact its performance.
