Invictus MD Strategies to change TSX ticker

Canada's Invictus MD Strategies Corp. is changing its ticker on the TSX Venture Exchange to GENE from IMH, effective March 20.

The cannabis producer said the change reflects the participation of Gene Simmons, co-founder of rock band Kiss, as Invictus' chief evangelist officer. He will serve in the position for five years. Simmons holds 2,631,141 Invictus common shares.

As chief evangelist officer, Simmons will assist the company in general public awareness through appearances over a five-year term.

Simmons' involvement is "the centerpiece of this next, more mature phase of Invictus," Chairman and CEO Dan Kriznic said in a news release.
