PTG Energy Q1 profit climbs 62.7% YOY

PTG Energy Public Company Ltd said its first-quarter normalized net income was 8 satang per share, a gain of 62.7% from 5 satang per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 131.0 million baht, a gain of 62.7% from 80.5 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 0.9% from 0.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 6.1% on an annual basis to 14.39 billion baht from 13.56 billion baht, and total operating expenses rose 5.6% on an annual basis to 14.21 billion baht from 13.46 billion baht.

Reported net income grew 61.0% from the prior-year period to 164.6 million baht, or 10 satang per share, from 102.2 million baht, or 6 satang per share.
