Horizon Bancorp closes Salin Bancshares deal

Michigan City, Ind.-based Horizon Bancorp Inc. completed its acquisition of Indianapolis-based Salin Bancshares Inc. and unit Salin Bank and Trust Co.

Upon closing, Salin Bank merged into Horizon Bank.

As of Dec. 31, 2018, Horizon Bancorp had $4.25 billion in assets, while Salin Bancshares had $929.4 million in assets, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data.

Horizon Bancorp was advised by Stephens Inc., Renninger & Associates LLC and the law firm of Barnes & Thornburg LLP. Salin Bancshares was advised by Hovde Group LLC and the law firm of SmithAmundsen LLC.
