Charles Schwab Corp.'s board has named Joseph Martinetto COO.

He has been serving as senior executive vice president of the company and Charles Schwab & Co. Inc. since July 2015.

Martinetto has assumed oversight of the company's legal services, client solutions and community services units, and of Charles Schwab Investment Management Inc. Additionally, he will retain oversight of the company's banking, operations, technology and digital units.
