RBC Covered Bond Guarantor LP and Toronto-based Royal Bank of Canada on Dec. 30, 2019, issued £150 million of 0.652% series CB46 covered bonds due Dec. 30, 2039, equivalent to C$220.3 million.
Net proceeds from the sale were added to the bank's general working capital and will be used for general working capital purposes.
RBC Capital Markets LLC served as lead manager for the offering.
Additionally, Royal Bank of Canada said it priced on Jan. 13 its offering of €1.5 billion of 0.010% series CB47 covered bonds due Jan. 21, 2027, equivalent to C$2.18 billion.
The offering is scheduled to close Jan. 21.
Net proceeds from the sale of the 2027 covered bonds will be added to the bank's general working capital and will be used for general working capital purposes.
The joint lead managers for the offering are Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Ltd., ING Bank NV, Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, NatWest Markets Plc, RBC Europe Ltd. and Société Générale. The co-lead managers were CIBC World Markets Plc, Commerzbank Aktiengesellschaft, DZ Bank AG Deutsche Zentral-Genossenschaftsbank Frankfurt am Main, Norddeutsche Landesbank – Girozentrale – and Scotiabank Europe Plc.
