4227819 said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended July 2 was a loss of 14 cents per share, compared with 6 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of $811,380, compared with income of $356,630 in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to negative 3.3% from 1.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 17.9% year over year to $24.8 million from $30.2 million, and total operating expenses decreased 12.5% year over year to $25.8 million from $29.5 million.
