Castellum AB-owned United Spaces signed a deal to develop and manage the coworking operation at an under-construction mixed-use facility owned by Chinese automaker Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co. Ltd. in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The 10-year deal will entail a 14 million-krona investment for a 4,000 square-meter coworking space that can accommodate up to about 600 people. The project within Zhejiang's Geely Innovation Centre is expected to open in 2021.
Geely Innovation Centre will comprise five buildings with a gross surface area of 104,000 square meters upon completion in 2022. Aside from offices, it will also feature cafes, restaurants, retail stores and hotels.
As of Sept. 6, US$1 was equivalent to 9.61 Swedish kronor.
