Hastings awards A$350M Yangibana plant contract to DRA Pacific

Hastings Technology Metals Ltd. awarded an engineering, procurement, construction and management contract with an estimated value of A$350 million for the Yangibana rare earths processing plant in Western Australia to DRA Pacific (Pty.) Ltd., Hastings said Oct. 21.

DRA Pacific will cover all aspects of designing and building the processing facility and associated nonprocess infrastructure capable of producing 15,000 tonnes of mixed rare earths carbonate per year.

The contract is the single largest dollar-value contract associated with the Yangibana project.

The awarding of the contract signifies that the project is execution ready, according to Hastings.
