Omikenshi Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 amounted to 74 Japanese sen per share, compared with a loss of 31 sen per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥48.9 million, compared with a loss of ¥20.5 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 1.3% from negative 0.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 5.2% on an annual basis to ¥3.89 billion from ¥3.69 billion, and total operating expenses rose from the prior-year period to ¥3.73 billion from ¥3.67 billion.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥707.0 million, or a loss of ¥10.72 per share, compared to a loss of ¥186.0 million, or a loss of ¥2.82 per share, in the year-earlier period.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 80 sen per share, an increase from 32 sen per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥52.6 million, a rise from ¥20.9 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue grew on an annual basis to ¥15.16 billion from ¥14.69 billion, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to ¥14.77 billion from ¥14.41 billion.
The company said reported net income came to a loss of ¥779.0 million, or a loss of ¥11.81 per share, in the full year, compared with income of ¥12.0 million, or 18 sen per share, the prior year.
