Siam Wellness profit misses consensus by 40.0% in Q4

Siam Wellness Group Public Company Ltd said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter amounted to 4 satang per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 7 satang per share.

EPS rose 74.1% year over year from 2 satang.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 23.9 million baht, an increase of 90.4% from 12.6 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 15.3% from 11.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 45.0% on an annual basis to 156.3 million baht from 107.8 million baht, and total operating expenses climbed 36.7% on an annual basis to 117.9 million baht from 86.3 million baht.

Reported net income rose 75.8% from the prior-year period to 30.8 million baht, or 5 satang per share, from 17.5 million baht, or 3 satang per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 15 satang per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 20 satang.

EPS rose from 6 satang in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 83.5 million baht, an increase from 25.0 million baht in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue rose 58.3% year over year to 543.5 million baht from 343.4 million baht, and total operating expenses grew 37.1% on an annual basis to 408.7 million baht from 298.0 million baht.

The company said reported net income increased year over year to 106.5 million baht, or 19 satang per share, in the full year, from 33.2 million baht, or 8 satang per share.

As of Feb. 24, US$1 was equivalent to 35.69 baht.
