Classic Minerals Ltd. said Oct. 8 that it intersected high-grade gold at its Forrestania gold project in Western Australia.
The Kat Gap deposit, in particular, returned its best high-grade gold from shallow depth based on the assay results from recent drilling. Highlights include an interval of 10 meters grading 30.78 g/t of gold from 28 meters, including a sub-interval of 2 meters grading 116.10 g/t of gold from 31 meters.
Meanwhile, the Lady Magdalene deposit yielded a result of 18 meters grading 2.87 g/t of gold from 34 meters, including 1 meter grading 23.7 g/t of gold from 46 meters.
Drill highlights at the Lady Lila deposit include an interval of 6 meters grading 9.57 g/t of gold from 26 meters, including 1 meter grading 54.5 g/t of gold from 26 meters.
The drill program consisted of 38 holes for a total of 2,408 meters. Follow-up drilling at the three deposits and the Van Uden West target is expected to commence in late October.
