Tay Two Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Aug. 31 was a loss of ¥1.83 per share, compared with 51 sen per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥92.5 million, compared with income of ¥26.3 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to negative 1.4% from 0.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined on an annual basis to ¥6.63 billion from ¥6.72 billion, and total operating expenses increased year over year to ¥6.78 billion from ¥6.68 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥109.0 million, or a loss of ¥2.15 per share, compared to income of ¥1.7 million, or 3 sen per share, in the prior-year period.
As of Oct. 15, US$1 was equivalent to ¥106.21.
