Cavco Industries closes Destiny acquisition

Phoenix, Ariz.-based Cavco Industries Inc. has completed the acquisition of substantially all of the assets and liabilities of fellow homebuilder Destiny Industries LLC.

Terms of the deal, which became effective Aug. 2, were undisclosed.

Moultrie, Ga.-based Destiny runs a single-plant operation providing affordable, manufactured and modular housing to independent retail distributors across the southern U.S.

Destiny President Donnie Edwards and his management team will remain with the company, and its products will continue to be marketed under the Destiny Homes brand.
