PTT Exploration and Production Public Co. Ltd. said March 8 its subsidiary PTTEP Australasia (Ashmore Cartier) Pty. Ltd. has discovered gas and condensate from an exploration well located in Permit AC/P54 offshore Australia.
The Orchid-1 well, which was drilled in January and reached a depth of 2,925 meters, encountered gas and condensate with a net pay of about 34 meters, in line with PTTEP's expectations. The result will be included in the development planning of Cash-Maple field which is projected to contain 3.5 trillion cubic feet of resources.
