Petrofac, Rockflow ink deals to support Greater Buchan development in North Sea

Independent upstream oil and gas company Jersey Oil & Gas PLC has selected Petrofac Ltd. unit Petrofac Facilities Management Ltd. and Rockflow Resources Ltd. to support the concept selection phases of the Greater Buchan Area development in the North Sea.

Petrofac will provide Jersey Oil & Gas, or JOG, with facilities and well support while Rockflow will provide subsurface evaluation support.

JOG's acreage position in the central North Sea, known as the Greater Buchan Area, includes operatorship and a 100% stake in blocks that contain the Buchan oil field and J2 and Glenn oil discoveries. JOG also holds an 18% stake in the P2170 license, which includes Blocks 20/5b & 21/1d. The P2170 license, operated by Equinor ASA unit Equinor UK Ltd., contains the Verbier oil discovery.

The contract values were not disclosed.
