Venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson to rebrand

Draper Fisher Jurvetson is rebranding as Threshold Ventures, Axios reported, citing an email to the venture capital firm's limited partners.

The three name partners — Tim Draper, John Fisher and Steve Jurvetson — previously exited the firm. Fisher remains partner at DFJ Growth, an affiliate of the firm that is likely to keep its name.

The new name is expected to be used starting with the firm's 13th fund, slated for a first close in June. Josh Stein and Emily Melton will be the managing partners for Threshold, while Andreas Stavropoulos and Bill Bryant will assume non-general partner roles, the report noted.

The Menlo Park, Calif.-based investor still has about $125 million of available capital in DFJ Venture XII LP, according to the news outlet.
