Gamecard-Joyco Holdings Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 amounted to a loss of ¥17.92 per share, compared with a loss of ¥24.50 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥255.6 million, compared with a loss of ¥349.4 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to negative 4.7% from negative 5.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined 22.8% on an annual basis to ¥5.41 billion from ¥7.00 billion, and total operating expenses fell 23.5% on an annual basis to ¥5.80 billion from ¥7.58 billion.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥410.0 million, or a loss of ¥28.75 per share, compared to a loss of ¥434.0 million, or a loss of ¥30.43 per share, in the prior-year period.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥38.12 per share, a fall of 53.8% from ¥82.60 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥543.8 million, a fall of 53.8% from ¥1.18 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue decreased 24.7% year over year to ¥25.74 billion from ¥34.19 billion, and total operating expenses decreased 23.1% on an annual basis to ¥24.89 billion from ¥32.37 billion.
The company said reported net income declined 67.4% on an annual basis to ¥293.0 million, or ¥20.54 per share, in the full year, from ¥900.0 million, or ¥63.10 per share.
