Enbridge unit holds open season for gas storage facility in Ontario

Enbridge Inc. subsidiary Enbridge Gas Inc. launched a binding open season for up to 1 Bcf of peak storage service at its Dawn Hub natural gas storage facility in southwestern Ontario starting April 1.

The open season began Jan. 14 and is slated to close at 2 p.m. ET on Jan. 21, according to a Jan. 16 news release. Shippers can submit proposals for a two-year term or longer.

Enbridge Gas' Dawn Hub facility offers access to Appalachia and the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, among other supply basins.

Union Gas Ltd. and Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. on Jan. 1 combined to form Enbridge Gas, Canada's largest gas storage, transportation and distribution company serving approximately 3.7 million customers.
