Natural Health Trends Corp. said its first-quarter normalized net income was 74 cents per share, an increase from 34 cents per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $8.7 million, a gain from $4.3 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 11.7% from 10.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 82.6% on an annual basis to $74.3 million from $40.7 million, and total operating expenses increased 78.6% on an annual basis to $60.4 million from $33.8 million.
Reported net income rose 65.7% on an annual basis to $11.2 million, or 95 cents per share, from $6.8 million, or 54 cents per share.
