Titan nets environmental approval for Vista gold plant in Peru

Titan Minerals Ltd. said Jan. 9 that it received environmental approval for its Vista gold plant and mill in Peru.

The company will be allowed to start commercial production once it secures an operator's permit, which it expects to receive shortly.

Executive Chairman Matt Carr said dry commissioning is underway, while low-grade stockpiles are ready for wet commissioning in the coming weeks.

Vista, which will have a nameplate capacity of 150 tonnes per day, was formerly operated by Andina Resources Ltd., which Titan acquired last year.
