Vienna Insurance Group AG announced plans to offer insurance to corporate customers in four Nordic countries through brokers.
The company intends to start operating in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. It will do so through branch offices in Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo, with Finnish customers served through the framework of the freedom to provide services.
CEO Elisabeth Stadler said the insurer is still "clearly committed" to a strategy focused on central and eastern Europe, including the Baltic states, where a number of Nordic companies are active.
"The expansion of operations in northern Europe means the targeted use of specific business opportunities in markets," she said in a statement.
