Viacom International Media Networks has secured content distribution deals with several multiplatform providers across Europe and Africa, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Viacom Inc. unit agreed to make the linear MTV+ channel available to subscribers of Amazon.com Inc.'s Prime Video service in Austria and Germany as an add-on for €2.99 monthly. Users will also be able to access special on-demand content, including exclusive access to new shows.
In Turkey, Vodafone Group PLC unit Vodafone Turkey struck a multiyear deal to carry localized content from Nickelodeon, Nick Jr. and TeenNick on mobile via the app for its Vodafone TV service.
Furthermore, Arial View Nigeria Ltd. will distribute licensed Viacom content to subscribers of MTN Group Ltd. in Nigeria through the Shortz streaming service. The deal covers shows from Nickelodeon, MTV, MTV Base and Comedy Central.
