Canadian biopharmaceutical company Acasti Pharma Inc. appointed Brian Groch as chief commercial officer.
Groch was most recently the executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Veru Inc., where he helped grow the sales of the company's women's health product, Acasti said.
At Acasti, Groch will be responsible for helping the company with the global commercial planning and market development of its prescription drug candidate CaPre for the treatment of severe hypertriglyceridemia, a chronic condition affecting an estimated one-third of the U.S. population.
CaPre is undergoing a late-stage clinical trial.
