Buckeye files to sell up to $1B of units

Buckeye Partners LP registered up to $1.0 billion of its limited partner units and other classes of units that may be sold in one or more offerings from time to time.

As of Dec. 4, the last reported sale price of Buckeye's LP units was $47.40 per unit. Net proceeds would be used for general partnership purposes such as debt repayment, acquisitions and CapEx, according to a Dec. 6 filing.
