Hercules Capital closes $230M convertible senior notes offering

Hercules Capital Inc. has closed a private offering of $230.0 million of its 4.375% convertible senior notes due 2022.

The initial purchaser fully exercised its overallotment option to purchase the additional $30.0 million of senior notes.

The notes were sold to qualified institutional buyers. They will mature Feb. 1, 2022, unless repurchased or converted.

The company plans to use the net proceeds from the offering to repurchase or otherwise redeem all of its 7.00% notes due 2019, to fund investments in debt and equity securities, and for working capital and other general corporate purposes.
