Power
* Michael Bennett retired from the boards of Alliant Energy Corp. and its subsidiaries Interstate Power & Light Co. and Wisconsin Power and Light Co., according to a March 15 Form 8-K filing.
* Avangrid Inc. on March 15 announced that its CFO and Senior Vice President Richard Nicholas will retire, effective July 7. The company will soon begin looking for his successor.
* Sunrun Inc. announced that Mina Kim will resign as the company's general counsel and secretary, effective April 6.
* Talen Energy Corp. on March 12 said Stacey Peterson has been named the company's vice president and treasurer. Peterson will succeed retiring treasurer Russ Clelland and as part of the transition will assume the role of co-chair of the company's nuclear decommissioning trust fund and retirement plan committees. Clelland will remain a member of the retirement plan committee.
* Sempra Energy announced March 12 that Debra Reed is retiring as the company's president and CEO on May 1 but will remain as chairman and a member of its board until Dec. 1. Sempra named Jeffrey Martin the next CEO and Joseph Householder the next president, effective May 1. On that date, Martin will also join the board, increasing the number of directors to 14.
* Ameren Corp. appointed retired Consolidated Edison Co. of New York Inc. President Craig Ivey to its board, bringing the board's size to 12. Ivey will serve on the board's audit and risk committee and its nuclear and operations committee.
* Real Goods Solar Inc. announced that founder John Schaeffer retired from the company's board March 9. Schaeffer's retirement is due to personal reasons and not because of any disagreement with the company. He founded the company in 1978.
Gas utility/midstream
* WPX Energy Inc. elected Valerie Williams to the company's board, effective March 15. Williams will be a member of the board's audit committee.
* EQT Corp. announced March 15 that CEO Steven Schlotterbeck suddenly resigned due to personal reasons. Former EQT Chairman and CEO David Porges will come out of retirement to lead the company, EQT said.
* Steelhead LNG on March 14 appointed former Terasen CEO R. L. Jespersen the executive chairman for pipeline and as a member of its board.
* Teekay Corp. on March 14 announced the retirement of Eileen Mercier from her position as a member of the board and as audit committee chair, effective March 12. Alan Semple took over Mercier's post as chair of the board's audit committee.
* Marathon Petroleum Corp. on March 12 appointed Kristina Kazarian vice president of investor relations, effective April 2. She will serve as a corporate officer of Marathon Petroleum and MPLX LP.
* SandRidge Energy Inc. announced that former President and CEO James Bennett tendered his resignation from the company's board March 10. Bennett was terminated from his post as president and CEO on Feb. 8.
