Amazon.com Inc.'s U.K. arm said Sept. 6 that it introduced on-demand grocery delivery for its AmazonFresh service.
The e-commerce giant launched AmazonFresh in the U.K. for £6.99 per month in 2016.
Under the program, Amazon Prime members in eligible areas will be charged £2.99 per delivery on orders of at least £40. Users may also choose to pay a monthly fee of £3.99, in addition to their Prime subscription costs, to get on-demand delivery for orders with a similar minimum spend.
AmazonFresh is available in 302 areas in Greater London and the southeast region of England, including London, Surrey, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. The service allows Prime members to order grocery items and other products from the online retailer and have them all sent the same day or during their reserved one-hour slot for deliveries every week.
