Fusion Connect CEO, COO resign

Matthew Rosen resigned as CEO of Fusion Connect Inc., effective Oct. 7.

Rosen will continue as chairman of the board until the company and its units emerge from protection under Chapter 11 of the bankruptcy code, according to a Form 8-K filed Oct. 7. Russell Markman, president and COO of Fusion, also resigned from his position effective Oct. 7.

The company appointed Kevin Brand president, COO and interim CEO of the company.

Fusion expects to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection before the end of the year. In June, Fusion Connect also entered into a restructuring support agreement with lenders holding more than 66.67% of the outstanding principal amount of its first-lien loans.

Fusion is a provider of integrated cloud services to small, medium and large businesses.
