UK-based S&U to pay higher fiscal H1 interim dividend

S&U PLC's board of directors proposed a first interim dividend of 34 pence per share for the six months ended July 31, up from 32 pence per share in the same period in 2018.

The first interim dividend will be paid Nov. 15 to shareholders on the register Oct. 25.

The U.K.-based specialty lender expects to pay the second and final dividends March 13, 2020, and July 10, 2020, respectively.

S&U reported an unaudited consolidated profit of £14.0 million for the six months to July-end, up from £13.5 million a year earlier. EPS rose on a yearly basis to 116.1 pence from 111.8 pence.
