Ecolab COO to retire; replacement named

Ecolab Inc. said Thomas Handley will step down as the company's president and COO later in 2019.

Christophe Beck, executive vice president and president of Ecolab's Global Industrial Group, will replace Handley as president and COO, effective April 1.

Handley will assist the company with its previously announced spinoff of its upstream energy businesses as a stand-alone publicly traded company until his retirement.

Handley has been the company's president and COO since 2012.
