Devon Energy grosses $849.6 million from debt offering

Devon Energy Corp. raised gross proceeds of $849.6 million from an offering of 5.850% senior unsecured notes due Dec. 15, 2025.

The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes or working capital, investment in securities, and acquisitions or investments.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith Inc. and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC were the lead underwriters.

Barclays Capital Inc., BMO Capital Markets Corp., CIBC World Markets Corp., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, Mizuho Securities USA LLC, MUFG Securities Americas Inc., RBC Capital Markets LLC, Scotia Capital (USA) Inc., U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc., UBS Securities LLC and Wells Fargo Securities LLC also served as underwriters for the offering.
